In January, 2015, we introduced a new component to The Collab Salon- live webinars through Zoom. Our monthly meetings in real time soon became the central feature for Collab members.  Now we are ready to integrate a  Zoom webinar into our  CE courses. To begin, Maggie Carey has scheduled three webinars for her course,    An Introduction to Rich Story Development.

What is a Zoom webinar?

webinarA live webinar offers an opportunity for registrants to meet in real time with course faculty and with each other. Typically, the presenter presents material – through lecture, video and/or illustrations – then responds to questions, and facilitates dialogue between participants.

How does a live webinar fit into our online courses?

Flipping the classroom

We’re flipping the classroom! At their leisure, registrants study learning materials (written materials, audio and video recordings) organized into self-directed lessons; through the Conversation Forum, we offer opportunities for registrants to participate through exercises, responding to questions and engaging in dialogue with others.  In addition,  each of our online courses includes at least one live webinar, which lasts approximately 1 – 1 1/2 hours – an opportunity to meet in real time with course faculty and with each other. You can read more about how webinars fit into the  format for our online courses on our FAQ page here.
