Anyone can start at any time. You can move through as quickly or slowly as you wish. Some people finish the course in one day, others go through a lesson each week or take even longer. It’s up to you. Make a commitment, think through how you want to move through the course and set aside the time.

There is no time limit. Please engage with the course at your own pace. Once purchased, a registrant can access  course materials 24 hours a day for as long as the Reauthoring Teaching website is up and running.   When you finish the course, we hope you will use the materials as a reference to enhance your future practice.

How can I interact with others while taking a self-paced course?2022-04-21T08:54:17-04:00

Our course content  invites self-reflection. Course exercises, interviews and practices can be enhanced when reflected on with others. Whenever possible, we recommend finding a friend or colleague with whom to take the course. If you contact us, we will try our best to find you a study-buddy (although this is not always possible).  Please use the comments section at the end of each topic and lesson to ask questions and share reflections. We look forward to your participation and interaction to create a space for co-learning and shared ideas.

What’s new and different about our Learning Community?2018-12-29T07:33:52-05:00

Our learning community keeps morphing to adapt to its members’ preferences. We are doing our best to keep up with new developments in educational technology: adaptability to large and small devices, a growing capacity for multi-media and video conferencing. We began as an online study that connected through discussion forums.  Since 2015, our Collab Salon monthly real-time meetings ‘on a cloud’ have become the centerpiece for conversation. We’ve created several self-paced Online Courses available for continuing education credit. Through our Faculty Offerings, we’ve added Faculty Consultation Groups and Trainings.  We sponsor a series of Refreshing the Spirit of the Work workshops in Vermont, and collaborate with our partners to offer workshops in other places. We now have our own  Reauthoring Teaching Youtube channel. And behind the scenes we are developing new online courses as well as materials for Higher Education. None of this could be possible without creating a collaboratory, and the help of our Board, Faculty and community members.

How do people get to your workshops?2018-11-04T05:36:44-05:00

Burlington Vermont is about 1/2 hour from All Souls Gathering (Shelburne),  40 minutes from Treleven Farm (Vergennes) and one hour from EastView (Middlebury). Many people take a plane, bus or train to Burlington. The Manchester, New Hampshire or Albany, New York airports are about 2 1/2 hours away. We are also about a 3 hour drive from Montreal, Quebec or a 4 hour drive from Boston.  It’s very difficult to get around Vermont without a car; sometimes people rent a car. We also carpool as much as we can.

Do you offer accommodation?2018-11-04T05:38:34-05:00

We do not have onsite accommodation at Treleven Farm, All Souls Gathering or EastView.  The nearest towns are Middlebury (EastView), Vergennes (Treleven), Charlotte, and Shelburne (All Souls).  There are plenty of options nearby: hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Inns, lakeside cottages and camping. If you need help, please contact us and we are happy to help.

Our Online Courses, Workshops  and annual Collab Salon series offer continuing education through Alliant International University for  psychologists and other mental health and social work clinicians.  Each CE certificate costs an extra $25-$40.
