How can I join a consultation group?

Many of our Workshops offer follow-on Consultation Groups that can help deepen your engagement with the material you learned. Some of our Online Courses also offer Consultation Groups that are scheduled periodically throughout the year. How long does it take to complete a course?

Multiply the number of lessons by two. Each lesson including topics should take approximately 2 hours to complete.

How are your online courses structured?

Each self-paced Online Course is organized around lessons with topics within each lesson. Depending on the course, materials may include text, video, audio, transcripts, and exercises. Padlets are used at the end of each lesson to share your thoughts and reactions with others who have taken the course and to read previous responses to material.

What does each online course or workshop cost?

In addition to the regular rate for each course or workshop (which varies), we offer discounts for students or fixed income, international registrants and groups of 5 or more. It costs an additional $25-$40 to earn the Alliant Continuing Education Credit certificate.

What exactly does ‘self paced’ mean?

Anyone can start one of our online courses at any time. You can move through as quickly or slowly as you wish. Some people finish the course in one day, others go through a lesson each week or take even longer. It’s up to you. Make a commitment, think through how you want to move through the course and set aside the time.

After I register, when and how long can I access materials for an online course?

There is no time limit. Please engage with the course at your own pace. Once purchased, a registrant can access course materials 24 hours a day for as long as the Re-Authoring Teaching website is up and running. When you finish the course, we hope you will use the materials as a reference to enhance your future practice.

How can I interact with others while taking a self-paced course?

Our course content invites self-reflection. Course exercises, interviews, and practices can be enhanced when reflected on with others. All of our courses feature Padlets for registrants to share your own reflections, questions, recordings, and images. We look forward to your participation and interaction to create a space for co-learning and shared ideas.

How do I earn Continuing Education Credit?

For an additional fee, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, clinical counselors, clinical social workers, and health care providers can sign up for CE credit through Alliant International University. The certificate costs an extra $25-$40. Follow the instructions to document your attendance and participation. Once you pass the quiz and fill out the evaluation form, email reauthoringcollaboratory@gmail.com to receive the Alliant CE certificate.

Which professional organization accept Alliant CEs?

Alliant International University is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. It is also approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education for Nurses. Our learning community continues to adapt to its members' preferences. We are doing our best to keep up with new developments in educational technology and a growing capacity for multi-media and video conferencing. When can I earn CE Credit for Reauthoring Teaching Trainings?

Our Online Courses and Workshops offer continuing education through Alliant International University for psychologists and other mental health and social work clinicians. Each CE certificate costs an extra $25-$40. You'll be asked to follow the regulations such as signing in and signing out, and filling out a quiz and evaluation form at completion. Just be sure to sign up for the Continuing Education option and then follow our instructions.
