Where the Buses Don't Run Yet - Biweekly Sundays
October 5, 2025
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

With Kitty Thatcher and Ben Kreader
October 5 & 19; November 2 & 16, 2025
Sundays, 4:00 pm – 5.30 pm ET
Beginning in October, we are delighted to offer a four-session discussion group to accompany your self-paced journey through the David Epston and Kay Ingamells course, Where the Buses Don’t Run Yet: Counterstorying, Wonderfulness Enquiries, Witnessing Practices & Possibilities from the Future. If you are interested in expanding your engagement with the course material through conversations with peers, this group provides a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice and incorporate the course’s innovative ideas.
Kitty and Ben, both graduates of the year-long Apprenticeship program with David Epston, Kay Ingamells, and Tom Carlson, will facilitate these sessions—bringing their personal experiences with the course material to enrich your learning as you explore the self-paced version.
Participation in the group is free of charge, but you must first register for the course here. You can also earn 14 CE credits by signing up separately here.
Enrollment is limited so your commitment to attending is greatly appreciated. If you need to cancel, please let us know so we can release your spot to someone else.
We will meet four times for 90 minutes each, biweekly starting Sunday October 5th. Each discussion will focus on a section of the course material in sequence so you can follow along at your own pace in between. The discussion group will allow you the space to discuss your thoughts about the course materials and learn from the feedback from others around the world who are taking the course at the same time. Although this is a self-paced course, this special discussion group offers participants the opportunity to engage with the material in a community setting to further deeping and enrich your understanding of the ideas David and Kay share with us.
Group Facilitators
Kitty first met David Epston in 2018 when he came to Santiago, Chile to present his work with Tom Carlson. Spell bound by David’s questions, later she sought out their mentorship through the Art of Narrative Apprenticeship with David Epston, Kay Ingamels, and Tom Carlson, participating in the years 2019 and 2020. Since then she has found much joy in exploring what makes a good question with others and witnessed the effects of such questions on hers and others lives in and outside her consulting room. She shares Ben’s enthusiasm for linguistic novelty and looks forward to facilitating lively discussions about this course with others.
Ben is excited to co-facilitate this companion discussion group to David and Kay’s course with Kitty. After participating in the year-long Apprentice program in 2022, Ben expanded his narrative practices by weaving wonderfulness inquiries into his client conversations and maintaining an internal insider witnessing stance to ground his questions in the unique experiences of his clients. He looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm for these practices and imparting the sense of linguistic liberation he experienced during his apprenticeship with fellow narrative practitioners seeking to enliven their personal narrative lexicons.
