Our Multi-Storied Bodies Practices
Consultation Group with Poh Lin Lee
March 1 -May 10, 2023
What happens when we shift from viewing our bodies as a single entity to experiencing our bodies as a community of diverse members each with their own experience, position and stories? This consultation group is for folx who are interested in centering post-structural, narrative practice, intersectional feminisms and community ideas in our conversations with our bodies and in accompanying individuals, couples, families and communities in conversations that are inclusive of their bodies.
Over 6 weekly sessions the invitation will be to engage with positioning/ethics/ideas, fragments of practice videos, collective experiential exercises and discussion around possibilities and implications for each participant’s context.
Themes include but are not limited to…
- Influence of power and discourse on relational exchange and possibilitiesPositioning: Co-research and accompaniment
- Community of members metaphor
- Permission, consent and participation
- Re-membering
- Responding to trauma, injustice, displacement
6 sessions fortnightly on Wednesdays for 1.5 hours: March 1st, 15th, 29th, April 12th, 26th, May 10th, 2023.
